There is something truly magical about abstract art and its creation. The painting process lets me return to the untamed yet deeply trusting soul I embodied as a child. This perfectly imperfect person I was, before I was told who to be. 

Nature inspires me to play with its elements. I join earth and water to craft paint, which is then dried by the air around it. An interactive exhale.

I am re-rooting myself in my body and lean into the tides of my inner momentum. At this point, painting almost turns into a dance. Fluid movements, one leading into the other. 

Intuitively, I translate something representational into an abstract essence of itself. Sky shades, leaf lines, ocean odes. But I also give a visual shape to something ephemeral — like an emotion or a memory. I’m telling a story through rhythm, shape and color. I re-connect with the co-creative flow of the universe by consciously sculpting energy.
